The Biggest Salesforce Announcements From Dreamforce 2026

Sharing is caring!

Dreamforce 2026 is going on a power-packed ride, and the event has already set a high bar for what comes next in enterprise technology.

Taking place September 15–17 in San Francisco and on Salesforce+, this year’s event is centered on the Agentic Enterprise—where people, AI agents, data, applications, and business processes work together to drive outcomes.

But the major limelight from Dreamforce event goes beyond introducing more AI features.

Salesforce is changing where and how enterprise work happens. From AIforce and Koa to expanded Agentforce capabilities and deeper partnerships with NVIDIA, Anthropic, AWS, Google Cloud, and Siemens, the announcements point toward a more connected enterprise where AI is increasingly embedded into everyday workflows.

Announcement 1: AIforce: Salesforce Wherever You Work

The headline announcement was AIforce, a new interface layer designed to bring Salesforce data, workflows, business logic, permissions, security, governance, and enterprise context into the AI environments where people already work.

In short, you no longer have to go to Salesforce to work with Salesforce. AIforce can bring Salesforce capabilities into experiences such as Claude, Slack, and Lightning, allowing employees to ask questions, access CRM information, update records, and trigger workflows through natural interactions.

Announcement 2: Koa: Giving Agentforce a CRM Reasoning Engine

Salesforce also introduced Koa, its first CRM reasoning model for Agentforce, developed with NVIDIA and built on NVIDIA Nemotron.

Koa is designed for complex, multi-step workflows and tool use. Salesforce says it was post-trained using a proprietary synthetic dataset modeled on nearly three decades of CRM knowledge and deployments.

The focus is on helping agents understand business processes, policies, workflows, customer relationships, and operational context so they can determine what needs to happen next.

Announcement 3: Agentforce: From Tasks to Long-Horizon Work

Another major theme was the evolution of Agentforce from handling individual requests to pursuing longer-running business objectives.

Salesforce introduced a new long-horizon runtime that allows agents to work toward goals over days or weeks. New job-ready agents are also being introduced across sales, service, commerce, employee experience, and back-office operations.

As agents take on longer workflows, organizations will need to pay closer attention to process design, human oversight, governance, and orchestration.

Announcement 4: Claudeforce: Salesforce Meets Claude

Salesforce and Anthropic also expanded their partnership through Claudeforce, bringing Salesforce data, workflows, and governance into Claude-powered experiences.

The initial rollout enables users to access CRM information and perform activities such as meeting preparation and pipeline review from within Claude.

This reflects a broader change in enterprise AI: employees may increasingly work across multiple AI and business platforms rather than relying on one isolated interface.

That makes data access, security, permissions, governance, integration, and interoperability central to the next phase of enterprise AI adoption.

Announcement 5: Salesforce, Google Cloud and AWS: Connecting the Enterprise

Salesforce also expanded its strategic partnerships with Google Cloud and AWS, strengthening connections between CRM, cloud infrastructure, enterprise data, and AI.

With Google Cloud, Salesforce is working to connect its headless architecture with Gemini Enterprise, enabling agents across both platforms to reason and act on shared data.

With AWS, expanded integrations connect Salesforce and AWS workflows, including CRM-powered meeting preparation, customer service through Agentforce and Amazon Connect, and cross-environment data access.

Announcement 6: Siemens + Agentforce: AI Moves into Industry Workflows

Salesforce also highlighted its expanded partnership with Siemens, combining Agentforce with Siemens Teamcenter Service Lifecycle Management to bring engineering-grade information into sales, service, and customer workflows.

Agentforce is also being used to qualify inbound leads for Siemens’ 18,000 sellers.

This shows how agentic technology can extend beyond traditional CRM use cases by connecting industry knowledge, enterprise data, business processes, and AI agents.

Announcement 7: AI Control Plane: Governance Becomes Essential

Salesforce’s AI Control Plane brings together capabilities spanning context, agency, action, governance, security, and models within a common architecture.

For organizations managing Salesforce agents, third-party agents, internal AI applications, multiple models, and connected data, visibility and control become essential.

Key questions now include:

  • What can an agent access?
  • What actions can it take?
  • Which data can it use?
  • Where is human approval required?
  • How is AI activity governed?

Agentic AI is not only about automation. It is also about trust, control, security, and accountability.

What This Big Reveal Means for Businesses

Dreamforce 2026 signals a shift in how businesses may interact with enterprise technology, from navigating systems to simply asking them to get work done.

  • Less navigation, more action: Move from Open → Search → Navigate → Act to Ask → Understand → Decide → Act.
  • AI where work happens: Claude, Slack, and Salesforce can bring business context directly into everyday workflows.
  • Connected intelligence: Customer data, business processes, and AI agents work together to support faster decisions and actions.
  • More than automation: The focus is shifting from completing tasks to combining context + intelligence + action.
  • Data and governance matter: Trusted data, permissions, security, and business rules remain critical as AI takes on more work.

Dreamforce 2026 announcement has just got started & established a strong direction for Salesforce’s next phase.

The focus is shifting from AI that simply assists with individual tasks toward AI that can understand enterprise context, work across systems, pursue objectives, and take action within governed business processes.

As Dreamforce continues through September 17, more announcements and customer stories are expected to add to this evolving picture.

For businesses, the opportunity lies in turning these capabilities into practical outcomes across sales, service, marketing, operations, and customer experience. That is where the right Salesforce expertise matters.
