Dreamforce, Salesforce’s annual partner and customer conference, this year unfolded on November 19, 2019, at the Moscone Center, San Francisco, with much fanfare.
The CRM giant, ahead of the conference, continues to ride strong momentum and is all set to make some big announcements in the context of its core CRM capabilities, including but not limited to communities, productivity, artificial intelligence, Einstein Analytics, commerce, and other customer enablers.

Salesforce Dreamforce 2019: Pre-conference News
Salesforce and Apple: Salesforce, the CRM giant, and Apple, the consumer electronics giant, announced three developments at Dreamforce 2019. The Salesforce Mobile App has been completely revamped and now leverages Siri shortcuts, Einstein, and Face ID.
Trailhead GO, the mobile app for Trailhead, was announced and it would be exclusive to iOS and iPadOS. Trailhead is the free online learning platform of Salesforce to help CRM professionals skill up for their next-gen jobs. The new Salesforce Mobile Software Development Kit (SDK) has been optimized for iOS13 and Swift.
Salesforce and Microsoft: Microsoft and Salesforce, the two technology giants, have decided to expand their strategic partnership. The organizations disclosed their plans for Salesforce Marketing Cloud to run on Microsoft Azure. Undoubtedly, this is the latest sign that Salesforce would be focusing on Software as a Service (SaaS) and platform opportunities while running those critical workloads on reliable and out-of-the-box public cloud infrastructure.
Investor Day: Salesforce will offer an overall business update on November 20 during its annual investor day. The day will be marked by speeches from some of the top Salesforce executives including:
- Marc Benioff, chairman and co-CEO;
- Keith Block, co-CEO;
- Mark Hawkins, President & CFO;
- Amy Weaver, President, Legal & General Counsel; and,
- Adam Selipsky, President & CEO, Tableau;
- Tony Prophet, Chief Equality Officer;
- Bret Taylor, President & Chief Product Officer.
Funding IT Consultants: Salesforce’s investment arm, Salesforce Ventures, has introduced a $50 million Consultant Trailblazer Fund. This fund would be used for pumping venture capital into businesses that specialize in cloud consulting and digital agencies that have the vision to scale their Salesforce service capabilities.

Single Version of the Truth: Salesforce users can now make use of a Customer 360 Truth capability that allows them to have a unified view of each customer. Essentially, this will help Salesforce users pull together, easily and quickly, from across service, marketing, commerce, sales, and more. The result will be a universal and single Salesforce ID for each managed customer.
Salesforce AWS Partnership: Salesforce is keen to promote voice technology while partnering with Amazon Web Services. The CRM giant is all set to talk about it on the first day of Dreamforce 2019.
Voice and Business Automation: Salesforce is keen to put its weight behind voice recognition technology into its platform to enable customers and partners to build customized voice assistants for employees across any industry or role.
